Founder
Dale W. Rufenacht
Dale's career spanned over 50 years in the oil and gas industry. Before founding Questa, he was employed by Phillips Petroleum, Crouch Petroleum, and John P. Castleman Jr., where he focused on the Land & Legal aspect of prospect development in the Mid-Continent region. After founding Questa, Dale continued to focus on the Mid-Continent region where he was principally involved in hundreds of prospects and operated several hundred properties over the years. Dale received a BBA in Accounting from Wichita State University in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1973. He was recognized as the 2008 Boss of the Year by the Desk and Derrick Club of Amarillo and has served on the Executive Committee of the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association (PPROA).
Tyler R. Rufenacht
President
Tyler graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Energy Management and was a member of the Energy Management Student Association (EMSA). He began working part time at Questa Energy beginning in 2005 where he gained experience in all aspects of the business before joining full time in 2016. His duties include land management, project development, regulatory compliance, oil and gas marketing, and investor relations, among others. Tyler currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association (PPROA).
Office Manager
Lilly joined Questa Energy Corporation in 2023. At Questa she has expanded her career and knowledge and is responsible for oil and gas accounting in addition to owner relations, accounts payable/receivable, division orders and financial/regulatory reporting. Prior to her time at Questa, she served over 15 years as a Program Director for a local non-profit, mentoring and guiding a team of professionals on mission focused initiatives within the Texas Plains and North Texas area.
Lilly Arriaga Walker
Geologist
Nita has worked for more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry as a Geologist and has worked at Questa Energy since 2012. She is directly involved with generating prospects, development geology, well log analysis and providing any other knowledge pertaining to each prospect utilizing geological software, including Petra, Drilling Info, and MJ Logsleuth. Nita graduated from West Texas State University with a BS in Geology and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. She is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Vice President
Cindy is in charge of Questa’s communications and marketing regarding all public/civic organization meeting and industry organization meetings. Cindy’s extensive background in community volunteerism includes membership and/or service in the Laura W. Bush Institute’s Power of the Purse, Amarillo Area Foundation External Relations Committee, Junior League of Amarillo Executive Committee, Amarillo Symphony Ball Co-Chair, Amarillo Symphony Ball Treasurer, Amarillo Symphony Guild Treasurer, Best of Texas Treasurer and Amarillo Museum of Art Guild Treasurer. Cindy graduated from WTAMU.

Badger Operations, LLC is located in Perryton, TX and has been an instrumental operational and equity partner since 1985. Rob and his team are responsible for all engineering/consulting for drilling, completion, and production operations as well as any other field related issue that may arise.
Their team has over 100 years of combined industry experience and has overseen hundreds of drilling and acquisition projects in the Mid-Continent region.
