Dale W. Rufenacht
Dale has over 45 years of oil and gas industry experience and has been the President of Questa Energy since 1985. Prior to that he worked in the Legal Department at Phillips Petroleum Company where his duties included negotiating contracts and settling damages related to drilling, pipelines, and refining. After Phillips he became an independent landman where he worked primarily in the Mid-Continent, but also led numberous projects located in Central America where he negotiated both onshore and offshore oil and gas leases with governmental authorities. Dale received a BA in Accounting from Wichita State University in 1970 and went on to complete his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1973. He has been recognized as the 2008 Boss of the Year by the Panhandle Desk and Derrick Club of Amarillo and has served on the Executive committee of the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association (PPROA).
Nita has worked for more than 15 years in the oil and gas industry as a Geologist and has worked at Questa Energy since 2012. She is directly involved with generating prospects, development geology, well log analysis and providing any other knowledge pertaining to each prospect utilizing geological software, including Petra, Drilling Info, and MJ Logsleuth. Nita graduated from West Texas State University with a BS in Geology and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. She is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
Pam represents 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The first half of her career was as an analyst in lease/land at Pioneer Production, eventually moving into division orders as an Analyst II at Mesa Limited Partnership, owned by T. Boone Pickens. Pam expanded her career when she started working at Questa Energy in 1997, as she is now responsible for oil and gas accounting, in addition to handling all transfers of interest and record keeping.
Cindy is in charge of Questa’s communications and marketing regarding all public/civic organization meeting and industry organization meetings. Cindy’s extensive background in community volunteerism includes membership and/or service in the Laura W. Bush Institute’s Power of the Purse, Amarillo Area Foundation External Relations Committee, Junior League of Amarillo Executive Committee, Amarillo Symphony Ball Co-Chair, Amarillo Symphony Ball Treasurer, Amarillo Symphony Guild Treasurer, Best of Texas Treasurer and Amarillo Museum of Art Guild Treasurer. Cindy graduated from WTAMU.
Tyler graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Energy Management and was a member of the Energy Management Student Association (EMSA). He interned for Questa during four Summers before joining the team full time in 2017. His duties include management of drilling/re-completion projects, regulatory compliance, investment/divestment evaluations, and investor relations. Tyler is a Member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Panhandle Association of Petroleum Landmen.
President of Operations
Rob has been active in the oil and gas industry for more than 40 years and is the President of Badger Resources in Perryton, TX where he and his team have worked exclusively with Questa Energy since 1985 to oversee the entire drilling, completion, and production process. Rob began his career as an engineering consultant for H & L Operating Company where he was responsible for drilling & completing hundreds of wells in the Anadarko Basin. The expertise that he and his team provide allow us to react to all issues related to field operations in a professional and timely manner. Rob received a BA in Accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Co.
Operations Supervisor II
Sergio has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and is an expert in all field operations related to drilling, completions, and production. He has worked with Questa Energy since 1985 and provides consulting services related to all aspects of field operations.
Operations Supervisor I
Mart has been working with Questa Energy for over 10 years where he started as a pumper. He is currently responsible for the oversight of daily production operations in the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma. His job includes onsite lease maintenance and repairs as well as the supervision of contract pumpers and any other third party contractor.
